How are your diamonds sourced?

Our diamonds are ethically sourced through site holders. All diamonds (except black diamonds) used in all of the pieces at Loi The Jewelry Guy are VS2 to SI1 or better while the color grading is G to H or better all year.

Do they come with a certificate of authenticity?

Only pieces that come with a center stone come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Certificates of Authenticity are provided by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or the EGL USA Gemological Laboratory.

How do you care for your diamonds?

Despite popular belief, diamonds are not indestructible. With this in mind, it is important that you do not wear your diamonds when doing activities where they might get scratched or chipped. Try to avoid manual labor when wearing your diamonds.

How do you clean your diamonds?

Short Term: The best way to clean your diamonds is with a diamond-specific solution found online that you can easily use at home. For the metal portion of your piece, we recommend using a polishing cloth. Every 2 months, dip your piece in the solution for 10-15 minutes to take off any debris build up before polishing the metal portion with a polishing cloth. Please note that the polishing cloth is only meant to remove minor ding.

Long Term: If you haven't cared for your diamond jewelry in over 5 years, please take it to a professional jeweler to clean thoroughly.

How long does it take to receive an order once placed?

Because each piece is crafted to perfection, it takes 7 business days to create each piece and an additional 1-3 business days to ship. With this in mind, the estimated time from order placed to arriving at your doorstep can be between 8-10 business days depending on the value of your piece.

How do I know my ring size?

You can easily go to a local jeweler to confirm your ring size prior to ordering. Once you make your first purchase with us, we'll include a ring sizer for future use. All ring sizes are unisex and based on number. In order to keep our prices competitive, it is important that you confirm your correct ring size before placing your order.

Do you do custom orders?

Yes! Please email us with the subject line: CUSTOM ORDER: [iNSERT YOUR NAME HERE]. In the body of the email, please include a photo and a description of what you are interested in creating. Then one of our representatives will respond with next steps.

Do you ship internationally?

No, at this time we only ship domestically within the United States.

What do I do if a piece I ordered comes damaged?

If a piece arrives at your doorstep damaged, please contact us and we’ll send a shipping label free of charge to return to us.

Important to note: Every piece needs to be inspected upon receipt before you sign for the delivery with your mail carrier. At that moment, if you see your piece is damaged, do not sign for it and notify us by contacting us using the information on the Contact page. Without a signature, it will be sent back to us where we'll then be able to inspect before we resend a new piece. For more information, please see the Returns & Exchanges page.

What Does CTW Mean?

CTW is an acronym for Carat Total Weight which is the metric used to determine diamonds’ cumulative or total weight in a particular diamond piece. On the other hand, the K is an acronym for Karat, which refers to the total weight of the metal used for the individual piece.
